BYD’s first production line of “blade battery” is expected to be trial-produced by the end of the year

According to the Science and Technology Innovation Board Daily, as the “blade battery” production base of BYD’s Ningxiang power battery production base project, the main production buildings No. 4 and No. 5 of the main production plants have been capped, and it is expected to realize the production line equipment of the “blade battery” before October 15. Enter the site for installation, and the first production line will be put into trial production before December 15; in April next year, the first phase of the project will put 4 “blade battery” production lines into full production.
The CITIC Securities Research Report pointed out that a direct-operated store in Shanghai under investigation currently has orders for BYD “Han” about 130-140 vehicles, while the top stores in Shanghai generally have 100-200 vehicles. The store manager expects that the store’s current orders can be absorbed 3 -4 months, the popularity also surpassed the popularity of the previous 2018 “Tang DM” model. Since a deposit of 10,000 yuan is paid offline, it is expected that the probability of order transactions is high. The monthly sales volume of BYD “Han” is expected to last longer than the previous “Tang DM”.

According to Wang Chuanfu, the BYD blade battery is based on BYD lithium iron phosphate technology. Its volumetric energy density is the same as that of mainstream ternary lithium batteries. The amount of electricity stored in the same volume is almost the same, but the safety is far more than that of ternary lithium batteries.
